FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What books do you buy?
A: We buy anything we can resell, that includes loose-leaf (binder books), paperback, hardback, sealed access codes, calculators and i-Clickers.
Q: How do I sell my books to Boomerang Books?
A: You can text or email us your ISBN or bring in your books for us to see. We review the book's condition and market value and give you a cash quote. If you like the offer we will pay you cash. If you're a fan of the "bins" or love after hours business: we have bins in front too, just text us for a quote and we will pay you via VENMO or Paypal once its verified.
Q: What is an ISBN and where is it found?
A: The ISBN is typically a 13 digit number that starts with 978 and is found either on the back of the book near the bar code or on the inside near the title page. Please don't add dashes in them when referencing them in our texting system.
Q: When do you buy books?
A: Unlike the campus bookstore, we buy books throughout the year.
Q: When is the best time to sell my books?
A: Selling sooner than later will get the most value for you book. Books typically lose value over time.
Q: What if I want to keep my book for future reference?
A: Most textbooks have new editions published annually. Sell your book today and get the most value for it. After time that edition will become less expensive to purchase.
Q: I heard the UVU bookstore will be abandoning students and not stocking textbooks any longer. Will Boomerang Books abandon us too?
A: Sadly, the UVU campus store will abandon you. Since 2008, our mission has been to provide an alternative to the campus bookstore. We will be working extra hard to have books for UVU to help with this situation. Please sell us more books so other students can buy used close to campus.
Q: Do you rent books?
A: Yes! Our Orem store now has a rental return bin in front for 24/7 returns too!
Q: I see these blue recycling bins that want to buy my books and pay me later, is that safe?
A: Not as safe as a human handing you cold hard cash! We will beat any recycling bin in price too.

ABOUT US
Boomerang Books was founded in 2008 by alumni of BYU and UVU, with the purpose to provide a place for students to buy, sell, and rent textbooks. We were the first brick and mortar store to rent textbooks in Utah. We are owner operated, which means we provide the most knowledge and experience to help you.
We pay cash for books year-round and supply hundreds of textbooks to local students. We also buy i-clickers, graphing calculators, and unlocked i-phones.
We now sell children's books, popular titles, and disc media in addition to textbooks. Our Orem store now has Vanuatu Kava and CBD products to help you focus and relax after school and charging cables for all your electronic devices.
